Just curious - Re;McD's

So, is it normal that with these 3 occurances, I'm tempted to go NIP in the kiddie section of my local McSaltlick?

Is anyone else feeling like they need to tempt fate?

I feel like a letter-writing campaign would be more effective. Ask McD's to put the international BFing symbol on the entrances/exits, right next to the handicap accessible stickers and etc.

Where do I sign up for the letter writing campaign?

I say writing letters may be more effective. I would never set foot in a McDonald's.

Ha ha ha! That's what I was JUST going to say. I'd rather write a letter than have to go to a McDonald's but seriously - I have nursed in McD's before with no problem. It makes me want this baby to hurry and be born so I can try it though!

I will tell you this - I once stopped on a long trip at McDonalds because my son needed a diaper change and it was about 5 degrees outside. SO I thought - Oh, McDonald's. THEY will have a changing table in the restroom.

Um - No.

I was so upset. I couldn't believe it. The lady said they took it out when they were repairing the bathroom A YEAR AND A HALF AGO and never bothered to reinstall it because she "just didn't see that it was necessary". So I changed him in a booth and she gave me dirty looks but I wasn't about to take him back out in the sleet and strip him naked in a freezing car. Maybe she rethought the whole "necessary" thing after that.

Family friendly my big-pregnant-butt.

No, I wouldn't change my behavior just to see if a conflict arises. If you would go to McD's anyway, then sure....

Maybe I'm not that much of a lactivist, but I prefer to go to the places I go and deal with problems if they happen. I guess I want a simple life and don't need to add to the drama or stress!

I dunno, I've nursed my toddler in the play place at both McDonald's & Burger King and never had a problem. So I'm neither going to rush out & do it again or write letters, honestly. But I will continue to try to be aware of what's going on where I go on a regular basis, and I'm more than willing to help out however with local mamas who have issues.

I haven't been to one in 6 years and wouldn't do it even for a nurse in. I'd write a hundred letters for you though!
