DD is going through puberty and we talk openly about it. I thought I was doing an awsome job and leaving very little out but then this happened!!
I went into the shower the other mornging to find my shaver filled with hair. It was a differnt color than mine or dh so I knew it was dd. I didn't think much about, but I thought that I'd ask her about it later so see how shaving went, and if she needed any pointers. (she had told me she was never going to shave and I told her that was cool.)
So later in the day dd was done reading and I said I see that you were shaving, what made you change your mind? She looked at me dumbfounded and said "I wasn't shaving". I told her that I had seen the evidence, she paused a minute and waved her hands near her bottom and said very seriously and rather abruptly "Mom, at the rate it was growing it was going to be down to my knees by winter!!"
I knew then that I still had some work to do!!
What have your kidos, or kidos siblings said about puberty that shocked you, made you laugh, or made you realize that some things are not so obvious to those who have never been there!!
I'd love to hear your stories!
