I can't sleep. Kendall decided to wake up at 10, didnt go back to sleep until midnight, woke up again and I just got him down at 1 am. I am tired.

I keep having these awful cramps in my hipjoints. Anyone else? DP suggests that its my pelvis bones moving back to their proper positions. Any relief suggestions? Pain meds arent working. I feel that if I pop them all will be well but it hurts so bad. To the point the pain is moving down to my knees. Help!

My doctor told me I couldnt drive after my c-section for either two or three weeks. Does anyone know the standard time? Is it two weeks or three?

PP bleeding seems to have stopped. It wasn't heavy anyway but it has definitely faded away. : My girlfriend's baby is 6 weeks old and she said she slept through the night last night for the first time. :

have you tried chiro adjustments?

I can't sleep either but just because I had coffee too late today my nights and days are getting mixed up anyways...

It's rainy today and I love when it rains, everyone sleeps longer and the house is cooler : Tomorrow I am done with 4 infant nappies and I was supposed to visit my mw but with this rain I doubt we will go out.

I think it was 2 weeks but do it if you feel up to it. I'd see a chiropractor for your hips. Perhaps they just need a little help to move back into position.

Its still 10:30 here, btw

We do have our 2 week check up Tuesday. I'm eager to see how much weight she's put on.
I also want these bumps on her eye lids checked out. I was dumb and googled which brought up herpes. I don't have herpes (as far as I know!) but it still freaks me out. My mw thinks its just baby acne. I want her to look at it and give her opinion.

Ivy tends to have awake and sleep periods. During her awake periods she will nurse, pee and poop, then repeat for a few hours with a few minutes between each thing. During the sleep period she will sleep 3-4 hours with the occasional sleep nursing. She rotates between the two periods all day and night.

I started taking angelica tincture today to help with the pp bleeding. I bled way too long with the other kids and I want to be done!
I also started floradix today. I know I don't get enough iron so this is something I've been meaning to do.

These hip pains are bad. Imagine a charlie horse in the hip joint. I cant even put pressure on my left leg. Even sitting here at the computer hurts.

I'd do chiro for the hip pain.

And welcome to the tired mommy club. It goes away when they're around four LOL

Do I detect a little snarkiness in that comment? LOL! Believe me, with two, it is much needed. I am constantly moving, and it is nice to get the rest. It might be that they don't go to sleep until 2am, but after that, they are asleep.

cosleeping with side lying nursing is my savior! Without it I'd know I'd be missing so much more sleep.

Mine said six weeks! C-section is major surgery. Twisting to get in a car or looking over your shoulder could rip your incision. And they don't want you taking meds and driving. Use your best judgment.

Monique-I also recommend chiro! I can't wait to see mine-she's on vacation for a couple weeks, but i plan on going back with rowan asap to get everything together again.

Sleepwise, we've had two good nights- he slept 8 solid hours his first night, and was up to nurse 3 or 4 times last night, but was quick about it. i still hope my wish for a good sleeper has come true ( i love my dd to bits, but she is high needs at night! so i feel kind of owed, haha).

managed to nurse on my side this morning-yahoo! makes such a difference. i think my milk is coming in-holy moley, i forgot how huge the girls can get...may haave to cracck out the cabbage tonight! every nursing session gets better and better. moms of boys and girls, did oyu find your boys were more ravenous? he just seems to eat and eat. i'm following his cues, but this morning it seemes like he was feeding every 30 minutes. yikes!

TMI warning, but I need help with this one!
I managed to avoid hemerrhoids during pregnancy, but somehow got them with the intensity of my delivery??? Damn! So what do I do? I've been cooling them with an ice pack, taking hot baths, and using witch hazel compresses...is there anything else? TIA!

Oh not at all. No snarkiness.

He's been napping pretty well today but mostly cat naps. I'm exhausted. DP doesn't even bother trying to help cook dinner or anything. He comes in, does his thing and that's it. LAst night I told him to stop and get some dinner because I didn't cook. Would you believe this fool came home with ONE freaking burrito...for himself?!: So I guess I didn't just have a baby, huh?

I think I'm starting to get PP blues or something because I feel so overwhelmed. I've asked him for help and do you think he does it? Hellz no. I just wish he would do something around here to help me out. He finally got his stuff for his apartment together so I assume he'll be moving the next two weekends. Thank goodness.

I'll look into the chiro thing. I need catch a nap while Kendall is napping.

uuuuhhh, no he didn't!! Unbelievable! Time for a little nut smacking.

So today, Dh had to take his brother to have surgery on his elbow & left at 6:15 am. He was super quiet getting ready, etc so that the kids and I could sleep till 7 when I have to get them up & ready for school. Dipsh!t BIL called my house at 6:18 (I guess cuz he was worried that DH forgot to get up) and woke up the baby and my 3 yr old!! Grrrrr! So I get in bed with the boys & E and try to get the 2 littles back to sleep. E went to sleep, but Sean decided he was UP and went downstairs by himself. I get up and get myself ready, pull out clothes for the boys, make my bed etc. Sean comes back upstairs just as I am waking up Aidan, and he is covered in poop. He took his diaper off downstairs and made a huge freakin mess with it!

So I spent the next 30 mins cleaning up the child and the house. I was so freakin livid. Some how I managed to get them to school on time.

Nice way to start the day.

Oh no...what a great start to the day....Mr. J has his days/nights mixed up and slept yesterday and then decided it was party time last night. I am sooo exhausted. I cant just lie down because I have Yasmeen and Tamara to look after too Right now, the baby is sleeping, and shockingly so is Tamara. My friend has offered to take Yasmeen to the playground so I am hoping (big emphasis on the hoping) I will be able to lie down on the couch and chill for awhile........nope yas is gone and baby awake....I am sooooo tired:yawning:

fridgeart I had H pretty bad after delivery and I didn't even noticed them until I saw them with a mirror! Don't ask me why... I guess it was because I always get them, but towards the end they were getting really uncomfortable. I too only used witch hazel but I also used epsom salts baths but my cuchi since my old episiotomy got irritated with this birth and I think that did the trick! I am also using a sprayer where I put epsom salts diluted in water. I just spray right after going to the bathroom.

Hurricane Fay didn't do much around my area (we live near East side of Florida) only rain rain and more rain which I love a lot of winds too.

I hear you about cosleeping and nursing side laying, it's my savior during the mornings. Roberto Carlos sleep in his cosleeper when is dark then when the sun is coming out I transfer him to my bed so we can sleep longer. I get out of the bed at noon every day thanks with this routine! : Gotta thank my mom too, who helps me out with my daughters in the mornings! Grandmas are awesome!!!!

veronica- can you just lay down with baby and do side lying nursing? Would that keep him happy so you can at least close your eyes?

My midwife just left our 2 week postpartum. Ivy has gained 15oz in the last week bringing her to 9lbs 2oz! She's already outgrowing some of her newborn diapers and clothes.

Oh yes he did. And I already know that when he comes in tonight, he's going to go about his normal rountine and not offer to do shyt. I'm in sort of pissy mood right now because I know this is exactly how it will go. I guess I didn't just have a child. Lord help me!

Have you had a frank discussion with him about this.
