Whispermill or K-Tec Blendtec

Which would you buy? Has anyone owned both? I have used the Whispermill and like it, but I can get the K-Tec cheaper. Reviews online are mixed on both so I don't know which way to go and it is a big investment so please share your opinions. Thanks!

I don't know much about the Whispermill, but I have used my Blendetc daily for over a year, and I love it! : I especially like it's size. It is squat so it fits under countertops really well.

I read that the K-Tech is REALLY loud (louder than the Whispermill which sounds like a vacuum, maybe even a little louder, but there is no noise when grain is in it). Also I read that the sides break easily because they are plastic and you are constantly popping the top on and off. What has been your experience with those 2 things? Also how do you know how to adjust the milling for bread--the Whispermill has a bread setting, but the K-Tech appears to only have different courseness settings?
