Has anyone cured systemic candida with TF?

I have been a bit frustrated. Just wondering if there is a any hope of curing this. I have stopped eating fruits/grains since spring now and still have mild candida symptoms. I had organic sausage without knowing the ingredients and was hit with one of the worst yeast infections that I had since I was pregnant and had raging hormones.

I eat TF and my diet consist of lots of fermented dairy and follow an Atkins low carb diet approach. I have tried lacto fermenting veggies but they seem to always get moldy on top and I am afraid to eat them.

I am taking oil of oregano, powdered probiotics, fish oils, and will start psyllium.

Are there any success stories?

ETA: I am also trying to incorporate as much coconut in my diet as well. I hate the taste of Coconut oil though, so its really hard to swallow. But I am baking with it and using coconut flour in trying new recipes.

I'm looking for answers to this as well. During the spring, I went through two rounds of antibiotics DS and I have since been battling very persistent thrush/yeast in my breasts. I've been dieting strictly, but would love to hear some success stories.

Subbing!

I'm seriously considering seeing a ND but we don't have ND insurance coverage so I'd like to avoid the bill if at all possible...

I know just how you feel. I have been dealing with yeast for such a along time and eat a TF diet too.

Bluebirdmama1, I think you started this thread that I'm linking...such an interesting article by Susun Weed:

I wonder if her idea about eating dirt would be an element of TF that would pack a punch, and one that most folks haven't tried?

I wonder if azomite has the same bacterial properties as the good 'ol garden dirt.

For vaginal yeast infections, wrap a clove of garlic in a some gauze and use it as a vaginal suppository. Eat a lot of garlic, and eat more yogurt.

I struggle with this too, and these are some things that help me. Just use the garlic suppositories when you can hang out alone at home for awhile. They do make you smell like garlic.

We have Leaky Gut, fighting yeast. Our diet is a mix of SCD and TF. I have learned so much on MDC and TF Thread, but still not cured. I don't think you can cure it with just a diet, but life style and detox.

Garlic is great for yeast infections. It always clears things right up for me.

I also swallow raw garlic a few times a week to help keep everything under control

Do you chop it up or just swallow a chunk?

I have just started taking the Garden of Life "Primal Defense Ultra" probiotic that has the Soil Bacteria in it. I have taken many other probiotics in the past and never had yeast "die off" from it. However, after taking this one I'm experiencing die off like crazy this whole week. It's starting to go away now, but I feel like it's really doing something!

The soil bacteria is talked about in The Maker's Diet and in Gut and Psychology Syndrome. Both of those books talk about the soil bacteria as being really essential to being successful with healing candida and healing the gut.

Awesome! Years ago on mercola "primal defense" was mentioned. Since these had to be ordered on line, I never bothered and just used my regular old probiotics. Can you talk more about them? What is "gut and psychology syndrome". I suffer from serious anxiety and just realized that it could possibly be yeast related.

There are 79 different toxins released by the metabolism and die-off of Candida. This is why people with yeast overgrowth often feel so lousy; the Candida toxins are regularly entering their bloodstream. Two of these toxins, alcohol and acetaldehyde (the breakdown product of alcohol that causes hangovers), are in such high amounts in people with chronic yeast problems that you may actually end up feeling “drunk.”

Acetaldehyde also reacts with the neurotransmitter dopamine, which is why people with yeast overgrowth often experience mental and emotional disturbances such as anxiety, depression, poor concentration, and feeling spaced-out.

I have not, but have a friend who has. I believe she took Garden of Life supplements to help her and then was able to stop taking them. She really had to cut out all sugar until she had kicked it and now occasionally has natural sweets. She did not cut grains, but did soak hers.

Thanks for this link! Its really interesting. Although I caution about drinking soil. There are hidden dangers if it is contaminated. I live in farm country and still wonder if the soil around here is safe. Some people do stupid things like burn garbage and painted wood, park their rusty cars over water wells, have rusty oil barrels sitting on property etc.

Wow great thread. we are also trying to heal candida and we've been following 'gut and psycology syndrome' diet for the past year but i'm sort of veering off now because i just felt that dd needed a bit more variety so we have introduced potatoes for her. although i'm still not eating potatoes. we are definitly all TF though, but haven't had any luck getting dd to eat any fermented veges or dairy which is really frustrating. i did just see another nutrionist that said we didn't have systemic candida because we looked healthy but i'm really not sure that is right! we have health issues that i'm sure are down to systemic candida - is there any other form of candida? or is just that we could have a mild form of candida? i've found it so difficult to get answers to these questions from the nutrionists even the ones who use TF methods.

that is so interesting about the aceltehyde and dopamine because i was just thinking the other day that both me, dd and dp have all got low dopamine because of the sort of things we are attracted to addictivly. for me it was caffeine, dd tv! and dp is caffeine and previously other things and they are all known to raise dopamine. so i guess what that means is that we need to get rid of the candida so that our dopamine isn't affected! thanks for posting this thread its very interseting.

I know people IRL that have cured their systemic candida with The Body Ecology Diet The author, Donna Gates is TF friendly as she spoke at the WAPF conference.

is raw garlic ok to digest? someone i know told me it wasn't good for the gut but that was just her opinion. just wondering why she might say that. it wouldn't wipe out the good bacteria like pau d'arco? - i need to check these things out now seeing as i've been wiping out my good flora with that tea!

Hey there
It's Janice here (meat lady)
Was it some of our sausages that caused this reaction?
The only things that they are supposed to have in them are
Ground Pork
Water
Salt
White pepper/black pepper/Red pepper
In Garlic sauage there is Garlic powder

The lable on the mix says - wheat, casien, soy, gluten and nut free
I got this lable about a year ago (I need it so that when people need to know whats in the sausage I can tell them)
If it was our sausage I will check with the abatoir tommro and have them fax the lable over again - so that if they have changed it I will know (this is important for us as well as Megan is Gluten free and my first suspect would be a wheat crumb - which they are NOT to use)
Feel free to give me a call, if you have ANY questions, I need to know if their are problems, for your sake and for others

I hope that you get the yeast beast under control quik - they really really suck.

Well, garlic is an anti-fungal, so I don't think it kills good bacteria. I believe Donna Gates(BED) mentions the benefits of garlic in her book.

On a side note, dh's pawpaw is 89 years old and eats 2-4 cloves of home-grown garlic a day. He has survived prostate cancer, 2 heart attacks, and working in the coal mines for 40+years. It seems to be working for him, .
