We have friends that are in the process of adopting a baby that is due in Oct. We are also expecting in Oct. Our then 17 month old daughter will hopefully still be nursing (she nurses 4 times in 24 hrs). I know that I can plan on tandem nursing our daughter and new baby. The question is would I have enough milk to pump for our friends baby if they needed it. I'm hoping that the mom will try to breastfeed, so this would just be for supplementing in case there were problems at first. In my mind I'd like to be able to offer to just hold her over while she tries to increase her milk supply. Any experience or thoughts?
