Co-op farms or food in L.A./Long Beach?

Hi,
Does anyone know of any co-op farms in the Long Beach area of Los Angeles County?

I live on a small Island off the coast of LA/Long Beach. Getting healthy, organic, and non-industrial foods is a challenge here.

I just got my own chickens for eggs, but there's no way I can raise livestock for food since I can't butcher them myself. So I was wondering if anyone knows of any co-op types places in the area where I could join/subscribe/etc. to get preferably grass fed, but organic at least, meat, poultry, & dairy? I'd love access to raw dairy too.

I know it's a tall order... any ideas?

Organic Pastures does co-ops (we run one in LB) but I have no idea how to get it over to you. We also like Linder's grass-fed bison, and they do sell big amounts; I'm not sure how they ship it, but I'm thinking maybe UPS or such ... I'm not sure if that helps, but maybe it can at least give you a couple places to begin in your quest. Good luck

Lindner also goes to the Hollywood Farmer's Market on Sundays and maybe a couple others around town (I'm thinking Santa Monica?). You might be able to arrange a pick-up of a 40-lb. package on a market day.

I love Organic Pastures. Great product & fantastic company. We used to buy their raw milk until we moved. I had no idea they did co-ops though.

I will check out Linders and see what their options are. Thanks!

I'd love a source for poultry as well, if anyone else knows of something.
