I put up 3M window insulation kits on our windows....

...and MAN, what a difference! Yesterday morning before I put any up yet the furnace would literally turn on 2 minutes later (after shutting off). I was so fed up with it! No wonder our gas bill is so dang high!! Well, I noticed a difference about an hour after I put the last one up. I also wrapped the water heater for it to not lose so much heat. I'm really hoping to get my gas bill down!

Anybody else have some energy saving tips??

I'm just wondering, what kind of windows do you have? Are they single pane glass? We have these all through our house and I'm going to have to do something before it gets cold around here. They have been condensing like crazy in the mornings and it's just miserable. I still haven't decided which kind of plastic to put up...is yours inside or out?

We've been keeping the house at 62 to minimize the condensation and the furnace hasn't come on in a few days...it's been a nice week. We're planning on wearing sweaters and keeping the house cool this winter.

I have 2 paned windows, but they're a little old. I can feel the drafts standing next to them!

I put it on the insides. It's 3M window insulation kits. You can find them anywhere. They work great, get 'em! I can really notice a difference! I'm very impressed!
