I'm here. Thinking about another uc for next time. I think we'd like 2 more babes, but I need to put some space between them and my current 2. You know, for my sanity's sake. I feel like I'd love to have babies for the rest of my life. Dh says we can afford five. LOL. Maybe I'll win the lotto, too.

: I had my UC 4 years ago. I still feel that there will be another baby some day; a boy. My DP doesn't even want to *talk* about having another for a couple of years, though. So I live vicariously here.

Pregnant UC supporter here. Due in March right now and at 11 weeks still don't have a provider. I am probably going with a MW HB, but if i don't find one I click with i am fine going UC. This will be my first HBAC.

I do lurk a lot though and have read about everything for the last year.

I had a UC with my fourth and I'm feeling pretty done with being the pregnant one although neither of us is really doing much to prevent.I do enjoy reading and supporting.

I'm with DentedHalo- Not pregnant, no kiddos yet, but living vicariously.

Current talks plan for one hands off midwife attended HB as a "trial run", and then any others will be UC. Need to reassure my medical hubby first that I'm "normal".

I'm pretty sure he's our last (planning vasectomy,) but if we were to have another, I doubt I'd want an attendant.

I had a UP/UC with my first, but for a variety of reasons am unlikely to do so with subsequent children. I still support UC though.

I have 2 kids,
first hospital birth, second UC.
I'm very proud to be on the UC roll call.
I'm also very happy to say that I'm still lurking here.
I'm not pregnant that I know of, not trying to be, and would not want to know if I was.
The climate for pregnant women in this country scares the crap out of me; My neighbor is pregant with twins, and had a C section with her first. I'm very afraid for her and trying to figure out how to help her get a VBAC. I'm not a doula or a midwife, and don't want to be a midwife, because I beleive in UC. (non medical birth, and living) They changed the lisencure in UT of midwifes last year or so ago, so that they can't do twins, or supposedly large babies, it's sickening.
I'm not yelling At anyone here, just being flamboyant.

TTC supporter and UC planner. Just this morning I had an *incredible* dream that turned into a waking dream (I can do that to finish dreams when I'm woken, it's cool) of having a baby in my living room, without my husband b/c in the dream he was sick, but hubby's best friend came over and helped me when I asked for help (physical support). As baby was coming out the friend got hubby and our son, and I was surrounded by males, and it was a wonderful dream (I have always been closer to guys than to women, don't trust women as much, and it was a huge mistake to use a female midwife with DS). And then as I thought the dream was over, whoops, out came another baby, breech. It was a very very cool dream.

Just my thoughts, just my experience....to me, that is nearly the same as "have your first in a hospital to see what it's like, then if you want to, have a homebirth", which is what ALL of my friends said to me.

Since I truly wanted a UC, but got a midwife to make my hubby happy, my body seemed to respond to her as though she was a tiger interrupting a deer in labor. I pretty much shut down.

So really think long and hard about doing that, b/c I would hate for you to have the same issues with your hubby as I did (and sometimes do) with mine, b/c he pressured you to go against your instincts.

I'm comfortable with the idea of using a midwife for our first, but also comfortable not using one. I feel like for now, it's a good compromise for us. I may very well change my mind though as we've got probably two years before we'll be giving birth. Right now I just don't feel like I've been exposed to enough to feel comfortable on my own quite yet. Although there has been very very tentative talks of my SIL UC'ing this December, and if she does, this may very well change hubby's mind!

One thing I have made very clear to him though is that if we don't get a midwife (they're in high high demand in my province), then I WILL NOT go to the hospital. It's not an option for me, because I *know* I will shut down there.
