hi everyone. i posted this question in some kiddie groups, but figured y'all are the experienced parents of older kids and would be great to ask! so i want to hear from you about your children's temperaments and how they have or haven't changed. here's my story:
my 27mo is attached to me at the hip. always has been. i realize just how much now that i have another child (8mo- who isn't as intensely attached). i'm constantly tripping over her, if i'm attempting to garden, her shovel is in my hole, if i'm peeing she's trying to wipe me, if i try to speak to her sister, she drops what she's doing to involve herself and interrupt. the phrase of the month is, "Mom you want to hold me." or the remix, "Mom you want to hooooooooooooold me." or the club remix, "Mom you want to ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ld me."
AAAAHHHHH!
though tiring at times i could handle it okay before little sister arrived. needless to say, she took baby VERY hard and still suffers emotionally and has quite violent tendencies towards her siste, though also adores her. i don't at all regret being AP (despite others' claims that i've caused this 'malady') and see this as her (primarily) in-born temperament. i have to wonder however, is she healthy and well-adjusted? is/will she be properly self-confident and independent one day? she does have superb speaking abilities, which i attribute largely to her and i conversing all day.

, and we even plan to homeschool, so i'm thrilled she is parent-oriented on one-level. the other just wonders i guess...... and of course i wonder if my other (probably more averagely attached AP kid) is healthy and properly attached b/c she is so different than her sister! big picture, i think both my kids are wonderful and healthy of course. but i'd love to hear people's stories.
