Fall 2008 TTC #1 in our 20's - Page 21

Mrscompgeek... that is just so disturbing to me... Andrea is right... there are so many issues that could cause delayed ovulation, which is why tests are important.

All doctors I know the first test they usually do is for thyroid. It is turly bizzare that your doc would not do any tests and just jump to fertility meds without checking thyroid and sugar levels, or anything!

I don't want to tell you what to do... but honestly, your doctor seriously concerns me, and if I was you.. I would never ever go to her again...

bumping so we dont fall off the first page

So Guess what? I am so excited. My mom and I are having a yard sale this weekend and I went to Mom's last night to get all my totes of stuff I had at home yet that hadnt made it to my house after we got married. In the one tote I found a baby quilt that I had made in high school for Home ec. I forgot I had it!! I also found 2 curtains, light switch cover, a stuffed bear to match the quilt, crib bed skirt and some wall hanging stuff! I totally forgot I had bought it when walmart clearanced it out after I discovered that the quilt I made in school matched it all. . . So this morning I got on ebay and found a bumper pad and a crib sheet to match is so I have all my nursery stuff already!!
Here is the quilt like I made

And here is the Bumper Pad I bought on ebay for $4.00!!

and I am thinking I am going to take the yellow color from the duck to paint the walls with half way up and then put a chair rail and then the rest of the way up the wall paint it white.

Ok me again, Am I the only one on here today?? Lol
Im out to a foot ball game tonight just had to ask a quick question before I left. I have had really stretchy CM the last few days and today I had some that stretched at least a inch. . . . It looked kinda like this
Then just a few minutes ago I took a OPK and it was ALMOST as dark as the line. DH says it is as dark as the line but I think it could be a tad darker yet. . .
Could I be ovulating?
Girl, get on it! You're ovulating! Or at least will be soon!
I agree!! Go attack DH for the next few days until that CF is gone!

Now I am on CD 44 from that cycle and still nothing and I asked to be checked out and they said they just want to do Fertility drugs.
I am so sorry, I know exactly what you are going through. When I went to my doctor (like 5 times!!!) they just do blood tests and tell me to wait it out. She refused provera bc she said it can screw up your body's delecate system. I think patience and stress play a huge roll as well. BUT since you did not have regular periods before that should be a red flag to your doctor that it is not just your body adjusting after the pill. I would get a second opinion. Once I move to missouri next week I am planning on scheduling another appt as well... we can get through this. As odd as this seems I have begun just praying that things work out. I just want to be a woman....

oh and to make matters worse, my best friend who just went off the pill and wasn't even wanting to get pregnant right away, BAM shes 6 weeks. UGH, which makes me feel bad for feeling bad!

Im back! I did jump dh last night and dtd !! : I am hoping that was EWCM. Also on my chart my temps dropped yesterday and I actually have been sick all week and running a fever and I would have thought my temp would have been higher since I had a fever. Then this morning its back up. . .

Ok and here is my OPK test strip from just a few minutes ago. . . .
OPK TEST
the line on the right closest to the green part is the control line and the line on the left is the test line What do you ladies think??
Sorry its blurry. Its from my phone, my camera is being used at a wedding today my friend borrowed it.

mrscompgeek- Wow that opk looks great! Thanks for the detail on your cm and yeah it looks like fertile cm so good thing you dtd with your dh. I'd say keep dtd until it dries or you get the nonfertile cm which some women get the day after they ovulated. Sorry about the fever but I hope your temps stay high and that you get your wish :. You can take maca when you're pregnant too. BTW I love your quilt and all your nursery things. I love to quilt and your quilt is sooo cute!

Thanks! I plan on jumping him tonight again
I am so happy when I found that quilt and baby nursery stuff in my storage tote! I had forgotten I had it! Now all I have to do is paint the spare room and Im done!

Checking in here...

Seems like every time I sign into Facebook, one of my college friends is pregnant, had a baby, or posts ultrasound pictures. It's good/fun, just makes me antsy.

My temp. went up today (sorry, no chart to share, I'm a paper person for that). I have always suspected that ovulation happens the day before that for me (day before temp. rise is usually is the peak day of mucus), but technically how do I count "days past/post ovulation"? Is tomorrow 1DPO? So, mrscompgeek, I think we will be waiting together!

this is a great question, anyone know the answer too? I also have ewcm the day or two before the temp spike and take today for instance it's not NEARLY as stretchy or even at all for that matter. i read TCOF as well and didnt seem to get a good answer.
I would imagine your cm would be the stretchiest RIGHT before or ON the day of O...am I wrong in that thinking?

Good morning, Ladies! :

I just wanted to let you know that DH and I are no longer TTC. It is a very long story that I will write in my blog if you all are interested, but basically we have decided, well, I have decided, to wait a couple years...maybe more. I am very torn over this decision, but I do know it is for the best. I am not ready emotionally to be the mama I want to be. I have a lot of personal inner work to do, first.

So as of now, I am going to fulfill my dream and go to midwifery school. As time goes on, we will re-evaluate our decision to stop TTC.

I wish you ladies all the love and baby blessings in the world. And I will miss you!

Hey ladies! Sorry to see you go Fem Earth but best of luck to you!
Ok are you all ready for this?
Take a LONG hard look at this

This was taken today about 1/2 hour ago!!! Ya think thats a positive OPK? The line on the left is the test line by the way. It showed up within a minute of dipping the stick and usually it takes a few minutes for the test line to even show up!!
Banana & sunny- If you ovulate today, then tomorrow would be 1dpo. CM is usually the day before or the day of O. It dries up quickly after O.

Good luck FE! I hope this decision has brought you peace.

MrsCG- Holy cow that's dark! BTW, when was the last time you took a pregnancy test? Since you don't know for sure that you have/haven't O'd, maybe the opk is getting darker because you're pregnant. Also, not to burst a bubble or anything, but since you think you may have pcos, I think I read once that opk's don't work for women with it because it often shows a positive because of messed up hormone levels. Good luck though!

I took a digital PG test last sunday and it was negative so Im pretty sure Im not pregnant.
Also- I have been taking ovulation test for 3 weeks straight and none of them have been as dark as today. . . I am also taking my temps and I played around with FF today and I just added in a temp for tomorrows temp and it gave me crosshairs so Im gonna wait to see tomorrow what my actual temp is and see what happens. . .
