Fall 2008 TTC #1 in our 20's - Page 26

*nods with the other PP's*

What they said... with me, I can't really say one way or another because most pregnancy symptoms are normal for me with having fibromyalgia. lol So I could never really read into anything... the only totally new thing that came about when I was pregnant that made me halt and think a little was insanely sore nipples cause I have never had sore anything in my breasts ever! lol Til pregnancy... now my nipples are always sore. lol

But, also... be aware... our brains are funny funny places and sometimes when you want something so bad your mind can make up symptoms... there is a word for it, but forgive me as my brain is utter mush today... But I have had a few friends who were not pregnant at all but wanted to be so bad that they had every symptom under the sun... BFN.

I do have my fingers crossed for you though!!! : Just don't want you to be utterly dissapointed if not, you know? I say balance somewhere in the middle, creating positive responses for either outcome. Good Luck!

I'm choosing to feel halfway positive, even though any "symptoms" I've had are more likely attributed to having a cold, eating too much at Olive Garden , and being slightly carsick.

: to all of us, symptomful or not!

hmmmmmmmmmm olive garden..I don't know why but when you said that all I could think of is their kick a** salad...

but as for your symptoms I will keep the faith that they are more than just a cold.

Aww lee, you look so cute pregnant!

Stop testing mrscomp, you'll just stress yourself out! Those internet cheapies aren't as sensitive as they say. I got negatives at I think 10 and 12dpo with those. Then I took a FRER at 15dpo that was without a doubt completely positive so I took an ic right after to test them out and it was BARELY positive. It would have been neg at 14dpo. Cramping is a good sign, that was my symptom. :

I had my ultrasound today and I'm embarassed to say my first thought was, omg there's a baby in there! Freaky.

Hi guys, sorry I've been without internet for a while. I think I spent the last 20 minutes trying to catch up to how everyone is, first things first:

CONGRATULATIONS NOTYET=SOONTOBEMOMMY!!!! I'M SO HAAAPPYYY FOR YOU!
::

JSMa, I tottally understand. My baby has more stuff than both dh and I combined

Okay so I want to reply to all of you, and let you know the gender of our baby and how the u/s was, but I'm so tired so you all are going to have to wait till tomorrow...hehe. Anyway glad to hear that everyone is doing good.

Lol, I didnt test this morning! I am 11dpo so I decided to wait til tomorrow. I may run out today and buy a more expensive test. I have been having cramping ever since 3dpo !
Another question for you preggers that visit this board- my nipples are hard. They have been hard since yesterday morning and they normally arent. I have been wearing a sports bra all week because they hurt too much to put on a regular bra but I put my regular bra on today and my boobs spilled out of my 34C!!
My boobs haven't really grown that much... and if they did I think it was only in the last couple weeks... but I really don't want them to grow that much, I'm already a DD. lol

But when first pregnant, yes my nipples were constantly hard and sore and on fire! It was crazy and I couldn't wait to get home after work and take the stupid bra off and put a tank top on instead. lol

DesperateMommy... that's not fair! You could have given us a hint at least. lol

Andrea... I know what you mean... it is still surreal that there is a little baby in there somewhere. lol I was tapping on my tummy this morning and all of a sudden Kallie kicked at my hand hard! It was so surprising. lol Twice now that she has been able to move my hand with her kicks... little girl is strong!!

So did you find out if it's a boy or a girl?

Thanks! Our babies will have to play together! And to the rest of you - nana nana boo boo, I know what she's having (I'll give you a hint- it's a boy, or a girl)

mrscompgeek- Do you have a dollar store? Those are pretty sensitive tests. Also, I'm only 5 1/2 weeks and I started as a small B, but my boobs are definitely bigger. So is my areola (is that what it's called?).

Yeah I do, I will have to run into town today and get some. Thanks!
I started out as a C and I am busting out of my bra!! Oh help!
I'm still wearing my pre-pregnancy 34 nearly B's. Technically, they're a touch too small, but not that much. Oh well. Maybe when my milk comes in I'll have average sized boobs for once in my life.

desperate and notyet - y'all are mean!

Andrea and Jenifer - my belly has been moving on its own for months now, and there are STILL times I don't believe I'm pregnant. There's got to be another explanation for this huge lump of a belly, right?!

mrscomp - still have : for you!
My boobs exploded pretty early on... took a break in 2nd tri, then have gotten bigger again. I'm almost too big for my 38D now and started out a 36C. I can't wait to see how much bigger they get when my milk comes in.

hee, hee, desperate - we didn't find out the gender but when anyone would ask what we were having I'd say, "Oh, it'll be a boy or a girl hopefully!"

Sorry guys I couldn't resist...sooo I'm having.....A BOY!!!!!! Yeah I'm excited. I did my first u/s at the mall with a really nice doctor. Then I wanted to wait and did another u/s at the hospital to make sure, and plus they have to do it as it's part of their procedure. Anyway the radiologist at the hospital was sooooo mean. I did exactly as they told me to do. I drank 2 cups of water, more even about a 1/2 hour before the appt. However when I got there my bladder wasn't full yet and she couldn't measure my cervix because of it. So she got mad and every question I'd ask she'd say oh, well you better ask the doctor to make sure. Then in the end I tried to be nice because my dr appt was right after. I suggested that instead of me peeing on a stick before the appt like I normally do I hold it until the end of the appt, and that's when she blurted out: oh no I'm done with you. I'm through with you. Luckly my mom and dh were there to let her have it, because I left almost crying. My dr. however is the nicest dr. in the world, so I'm thankful for that.

Amber lion- Hahaha that's a good answer. I can't wait to see how long my bbs are going to get bigger, so far I'm a 38C...Dh can't wait either...hehe

Lee- I love the pics, I also wished I'd done something like that.

Notyet- how far are you? Yeah our babies will have to play together, especially because sometime between now and spring we'll be moving to west jordan

Mrscompgeek- The hard nipples are a very good sign. I think that sore bbs are a good sign too but they can start growing later or anytime now. Right now being in the second trimester (almost in third) it's been as they say the honeymoon stage for me, although I too wear sports bra cause I can't stand my other ones. ::

It's strange that they needed you to drink water for your u/s, desperate.

My u/s tech yelled at me when I went with a full bladder. She said techs that tell people to still do that are all stupid (her words here). She said technology is far more advanced and it isn't needed.

She was never pleasant... am so glad she has nothing to do with my care other than those 2 u/s's.

Ok, my nipples arent hard anymore. It was just this morning. They are definetly bigger though. The other day the area around my nipples was puffy and swollen but it seem to have gone down now.
I have been so b*tchy today. Everything ticks me off. I went and bought some FRER test today and gonna take them tomorrow morning at 12dpo. My temp has stayed pretty much even except for sunday it jumped.
JSMa- I'm with you, I'm glad that we only have to deal with them once or twice the most. I wonder what is up with them and their unpleasantness?! Well when I went to do the u/s at the mall with a dr. I wasn't given any specific instructions to drink certain amounts of water, and everything turned out okay. Anyway I'm glad to know that you don't need to drink water for the u/s, goes to show that the u/s tech I had was just bitchy (pardon my french).

Mrscompgeek- I'm glad your nipples are big. I think it just hurts like they get sore a lot more later during pregnancy. Those mood swings sound like pms which you can still have and be pregnant. So I'm still cheering for you.

Ok I just realized something. I have said all week that I never had any of these symptoms with AF coming. I realized that this will only be my 2nd period since going off birth control and the 1st one was Provera induced so it was light. Anyways, while on birth control I had no PMS/symptoms but I forgot what my periods were like before birth control. (cant really remember) So I probably had sore boobs, cramps, gas, fatigue with PMS before the pill.
I started having cramps this morning, pretty sure AF will be here by the weekend. These are AF cramps def. Oh well, Im trying to not feel down. Im gonna start taking MACA as soon as AF starts and I am still going to keep my app with my GYN on the 30th.
ALSO- one question, when you temp when does your temp drop? The day before AF comes or the day of? My temps are still high this morning.
MrsComp... actually provera doesn't give you a real period either... It builds up your uterine lining and forces a bleed, but it doesn't cause ovulation, and not a real period.

Temps taper off different per person, as we each have different body chemistry, and there can be environmental factors that change things too... but from most charts I have seen, temp sort of start dropping right before AF shows up, and is typically low the day it starts, but I have seen the opposite of that too... after charting a few cycles you will find what your pattern will be.

I think staying positive and keeping the appointment and starting Maca are all good things! Especially as you have not had any regular periods off of BCP yet it seems... remember it can take 6 months to a year for your system to truly regulate after BCP, sometimes even up to a year and a half. After I found this information out I swore I'd never go back on synthetic BC again. : The things docs SHOULD tell you but don't to help line their pockets from endorsements from drug companies... /rant

You know my thoughts on Maca. That's my highest recomendation.
