NEED HELP NOW!! RE: SERGER I can buy

I am going to go look at a White Superlock Serger 734D. The lady is selling it for $100 with a table and says it has one broken needle. She bought it off Craig's List a year ago and said the guy showed her it worked, gave her all the manuals and videos.

Is this a good serger? Is this a good deal? Is it hard to replace needles?

I don't sew well and want to learn, and I want to make my own cds, so I have been searching for a serger.

I am supposed to go look at it in 30 minutes!

If it's not rusty, buy it. It's a bare-bones machine, right?
I have a Brother lock 925D. Just a simple, 3/4 thread machine (more versatile than a 3 thread, 3 thread would be okay, too, though for $100) is awesome. I bought mine for cheap for CDs too. I've made everything on it, though.
A quick google search says the one you are looking at is a 3/4 and all of the parts are available.

Needles are cheap and quick to replace yourself. Most (including this one) are universal sizes, like regular sewing machine needles.

If you have a local sewing shop that sells machines, chances are high they will be able to tune-up and fix anything that could break.

Thank you for your advice. I did go look at it and ended up buying it. It does look old, but it seems to work and has all of the parts (extra needle too) and manuals/instruct tapes. Since I've never used one I'm a little nervous, but for $100 I guess it's worth a shot. It included a table, too.

Now I just need to figure out how to use it.
