are some glue guns better than others?

I found that the type of glue gun with a trigger to start and stop the flow works better than the "el cheapo" mini ones without that. If you press lightly you can get a narrow stream, or even put small beads of glue down.

In my experience the "hot melt" glue is bgetter than the low temp. It just seems like the low temp cools off before you can get everything stuck down right.
