Can anyone recommend birth centers and/or HBMWs in the Richardson/Allen area?

I strongly recommend Becky Burpo, CNM, at Allen Birthing Center, from personal experience as well as her excellent reputation. She's hands-off yet highly qualified ... Personal yet professional ... All the things you want in a midwife.

There are a bunch of apparently good ones in the area! I have picked mine already after interviewing a two and searching online for info on others, but I'm not even pregnant yet, so I don't think I'm qualified to recommend anyone.

I would recommend searching old threads here for ideas. Also, look up the Association of Texas Midwives. You can find profiles of area midwives on that web site.

I second the Allen Birthing Center. They are the ones who gave me my first copy of mothering magazine!:
