I'm scouring Etsy right now, but I'll take suggestions from anywhere! I'm making a natural body care basket for my mom for her b-day (she just found out she had breast cancer)...I already have organic cream deoderant, chapstick, whipped body cream, and a Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap. PLEASE suggest your favorite stuff because I'd like to add a lot more!

I'm so sorry about your mom's diagnosis.
Last Christmas I made my "Happy Hippie Cleaning Kits" for friends/family who were open to NFL. It was a collection of my favorite homemade, all natural cleaners: an all purpose cleaner, scouring powder, floor cleaner, window/mirror cleaner, soft scrub, and some microfiber towels. I put in a cute little handout with how to use each thing and the recipe to make more. It was easy, cheap, and they were a big hit. PM me if you're interested and I'll send you the recipes.
I also really like washing my face with honey. You could easily pick that up at the store and put it in your kit!
I love Dr. B's peppermint soap! I know they make shampoo and conditioner now but I haven't tried them out yet.
It's early and my brain hasn't warmed up yet. I'll try to think of some more stuff...

We have breast cancer in the family too.I use the hair wash from www.terressentials.com. Their products are very clean.
I also use the deoderant and tinted lip balm from www.oyinhandmade.com.
I use a mixture of rose water and glycerin for my face. I got the recipe from this fabulous book - http://www.amazon.com/Organic-Body-R...9414394&sr=8-1
Most of the ingredients are very cheap, but she does use a lot of eo's. You could make stuff for her or maybe give her the book with some eo's - those are the ingredients that are most expensive, everything else is pretty cheap.

I only use bronners and the crystal (or baking soda). But when I want to put something on my face and feel pampered I use VegaNatural's Earth Chid. A mama I used to know makes it...back in Portland, OR.
Our natty food store carried them in Portland (and others too) and she makes them in her kitchen! She's one cool mama and I really like Earth Child. I only wish we still lived near her to buy them at the store! HTH and best wishes to your mama

Sorry to hear about your mum's cancer. I don't know if you can get it in the US or not, but I love anything from 'Neils yard remedies'. All their stuff is natural and nasty free!
Oh yes you can get it in the US - just found this!!
