this 'nutrionist' i recently saw recomened rejuvenative foods vegetable ferments over home made ones. they are american based in california i think and they are really really expensive to get here in UK (of course he's selling them ) so just wondering if anyone here has tried them and what you think? are they worth the expense? i've tried the saurkraut which was quite nice the cabbage was very soft and sloppy not at all crunchy, the saurkraut has no salt in it and is fermented with lemon juice and dill. they also do various salsa's and kimchi and raw nut butters. i would love to know if anyone has tried them and what you think?

I've tried the Vegi-delite Zing salad a number of times. I like it rather well. It's pretty expensive here in the US, too, or at least where I live. For a small jar it's about $9.00. I can't comment on whether it would be better than home fermented foods, but I certainly would ask a lot of 'Why's to the guy who says that. Who knows? Gut tells me it's probably just a selling tactic, though.

When you're traveling and find some, it's a nice treat (though eat it in your car away from people, because it stinks to high heaven). I wouldn't buy it regularily, though, much cheaper to make it yourself!

thanks for your repliy,
it is so expensive here ÂŁ11 a 454gram jar which is about $20. i really can't afford it but if anyone thinks it is totally worth it then i might treat myself.

Wow, that's super expensive. If you have extra spending money, maybe it would be a nice treat. But I personally probably wouldn't be able to justify it. You could buy almost half of a bottle of good probiotics for $20! I guess if you're super curious, maybe it would be worth trying it once - then you'll know if it's worth the money, or a fun one-time treat.

Good luck!
