I too would be interested in seeing something more substantial to support the statement that kids these days are sicker than ever
The number of kids I know with Crohn's, diabetes, asthma, allergies bad enough to keep them indoors, autism, embarassing skin problems, chronic tonsillitis, and an assortment of other health conditions is amazing. The point I make is where is the proof children are getting healthier? When I worked in the schools, I saw entire classrooms set up for children with autism or on that spectrum. When I grew up in the 60's - 70's, there was maybe one kid in the school like that. Now they have entire programs and staff set up for this. Where is all this coming from? We ate crappy food back then too.

If there is going to be a witch hunt for non-vaccinators, then it would be nice to see some evidence that an increase in vaccines = an increase in health.

Annecdotes, sentences starting with "people i know" or "when i was a kid", are no match for statistics.

CDC officials estimate that fully vaccinating all U.S. children born in a given year from birth to adolescence saves 33,000 lives, prevents 14 million infections and saves $10 billion in medical costs.
14 million infections prevented and 33,000 lives saved means our kids are healthier.

Now that polio and MMR and scores of other childhood diseases arent much of a problem anymore, kids are getting sick from other things. There will always be diseases, kids will always be sick. But the more diseases we reduce or eliminate, the healthier are kids are.

Since we continue to veer way off topic & seem to have reached the end of productive discussion regarding the role of vaccines in this measles outbreak I am closing the thread.
