Your midwife in GA

Who was your midwife in the Fort Gordon area? Would you use her again? Did you birth at home or at a birthing center? Pros and cons of working with her?

I'm presuming you're looking for a midwife at home, not through MCG? I never used a midwife, but I know of several people who did. (Though I don't know of any names off hand). I'd suggest contacting LLL or even ICAN and asking. ICAN is more for women avoid a c-section but you'll likely find some info there too. I took Bradley classes so another suggestion would be to call a Bradley leader and ask. The phone numbers to LLL, ICAN, and even Bradley teachers should be in the Augusta Parent publication. (It's like a mini-newspaper and is free in many locations in the Augusta area).

*I just saw your other thread that you're not in town yet. I realize none of these say midwife due to the lay midwifes rules. But the doulas and Bradley teachers know who the midwives are, and sometimes are midwives themselves.
