I've started "no-pooing" my hair-BS wash and ACV rinse. I wanted to know if anyone uses a similar system on their children, and how it worked for you?

We don't use anything but plain water. Other friends of mine do the same thing. Babies/Kids don't really secrete a bunch of oils and their sweat doesn't smell.
If DS (5) was outside and got all muddy, super sweaty or something then I might use the Medela Calendula wash but that's very rare.

My mom often rinsed pour hair with a lukewarm chamomille infuse. It also may enhance blonde hair slightly.
Not really about shampoo or unpoo, but I just got us a few oils and essential oils and now gave my children their first (essential) oil (mix of sweet apple essence and apricot oil) only bath, and it smelled so nice that I also took a quick soak :-). Our hair and skin were all clean and smooth and wonderfully scented and skin didn't need any moisturiser at all.
We always tend to have dry skin after a bath with a mainstream product, needing to use another one to moisturize
I like this probably will slowly get rid of most of the chemical mixtures :-)
DH is not in though.

We have children w/ long hair and one has dreads. We all use Bronners (which is no poo from what I'm told?) head to toe. We don't wash hair unless needed (like we went swimmnig in chlorine water, dirt, sand from beach in it, around a fire pit to get that smell out, or if there is dinner hanging around in it for later
) This time of year we seem to do it more since we're doing summer activities more, kwim? And me?...shoot I don't wash often at all. Maybe once a month or twice w/ bronners.
My son w/ dreads washes his less often. He's 6 and I let him decide when he wants to or not. They smell fine and so it's not an issue. My boys wet their hair often in the bath (they have long hair as well) as does DD..and that's good for me!

We use plain water for the kids. If it's really dirty we use shampoo. But usually water works just fine.
