how much movement is normal at 40 weeks?

I'm still able to poke and prod her and feel 4 movements in an hour, but they are much smaller and more gentle movements than normal.

What's normal for 40 weeks? I've never been this pregnant before!

I'm wondering this too... My midwife said that sometimes the baby will have a "quiet" day right before labor begins... My baby is definitely still moving, but I feel like the movements are different - maybe it's just because of the lack of space in there.

Anyway, we have the same due date! Good luck and best wishes to you! I have no inkling whatsoever about when this baby will come - but it's got to be pretty soon, right?

I think the baby's movement feels a lot different now that he doesn't have much room. I find that sometimes I have to put my hands on my belly in order to notice the movement.

same here. And lots of times, his movements feel like contractions.
