1st Day at Kindy went really well!

Just thought I'd post a happy thread.

My daughter does not adapt to change or surprises very well. It can take her awhile to get used to things. DH and I were very worried about kindy at the local neighborhood school. We visited it a few times, went to orientation and play dates, etc.

The night before the first day I even told her that she might not like it at first and some times it takes her a little while to get used to things, but she would still have to go.

She was so ready for kindy. She loves it. Loves her teacher, loves the after-care and before care. Is thrilled to have older friends in the care program and waives at the kids she knows in other classes.

DH and I couldn't have been more surprised. And we're just so proud! :

Great news!!! I'm glad she had such a good day!

I am worried about ds too, so I hope his 1st day goes half as good as hers did.

Yay! I love the positive stories! We met DS's teacher yesterday and she is so nice! She made sure she hugged all the kids as they left and went on and on about what a wonderful year they would have. I really think it's going to be fine. We were worried because our DS is like your DD, in that he hates transitions.
