hiccups as labor predictor?

Okay, I have been very interested in fetal breathing movements this pregnancy, as I swear up and down I could see this baby 'breathing' for the last month or so. In my readings and research, I learned that all babies do this, but here is the interesting part, they stop 24-72 hrs. before labor begins. So, I'm wondering, since hiccups are caused by FBM's, wouldn't that mean our babes also wouldn't hiccup 24-72 hrs before labor also? I can't figure out how to phrase this for a search, so I'm wondering if anybody knows about this.
Like if your baby is really quiet and has had no hiccups for a couple of days, maybe it's time. Or, if it is hiccuping you know you have at least 24 hrs before showtime. Hmmm... What do you think?

lots of baby hiccups here for the last few weeks. Less movement and none since last night. Boy, I hope this means something. I'll take whatever I can get as a sign labor is imminent. Eventually, I'll be right!

I guess it was an indicator! Everyone watch your bellies!

I think I have been feeling breathing movements too. It is very soft, almost inconspicuous....top of belly goes up and down just slightly...very rhythmic? Is that what it feels like to you?

My babe has hiccups all the time too. I have been going crazy nesting today...burst of energy...so I was hoping tonight was the night....so I hope that isn't true!!!

Yes, totally. It's not as fast as a baby heart rate or as slow as my breathing. It's almost the same as my pulse but not the same rhythm. it's cool.

My water broke after midnight, so it was within a day of when I noticed the lack of activity

I was wondering about this "breathing from the outside" thing when I was pregnant. I could totally see my babe breathing and I'm sure it wasn't just my breathing...
