Friday, Still Pregnant Thread - Page 2

yesterdfay was such a funny day, with a lot of new (and pleasurable) feelings in the arae that i thought "hey, this might be it."

then, i promptly fell asleep and took a 2 hr nap. LOL guess not.

i have finally finished organizing everything. the mattress was supposed to come this week, but got pushed back AND i can't get ahold of the delivery guy. it's a pain. i want my new bed!

otherwise, everything is ready to go. well, my parents are coming up this saturday to help with curtains downstairs and also to put up the towel rack in the bathroom. then, everything is finished for real.

then, all that's left is to have baby. at this rate, probably will be a couple of weeks.

39w+ here and I'm feeling really crampy, but like menstrual cramps with a few sharp pains in my cervix. No plug, no bloody show, lots of hiccups and movement, so I'm guessing I still have awhile.

My next mw appointment is next Saturday, and I'll be 40w4d, I believe.

Work is stressful.

40+6 today. I lost my mucous plug today. I feel like the end is in sight... he's going to be born within a week, and I can wait him out.

I'm still here cookin' a baby. I'm VERY grumpy this morning, as my 17 mo ds was up ALL night to nurse. WTH is with this, the last couple of nights he's like a newborn!

Anyways... going to an amusement park with some other mama's and kiddos, maybe all of the walking/running after lo's will shake the baby out!?!

My due date is today (not 100% sure, since it was determined by an u/s at 17 weeks).

My 16 month old has been doing the same thing to me!!! All of a sudden the past couple of weeks he has started nursing quite a bit more. I keep hoping it will bring on the contractions, but they don't keep going. He must like the colostrum!

This should be called the Friday "I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M STILL PREGNANT" thread!!!

Yeah, so I'm still pregnant. And I can't BELIEVE it. I want to kick everyone who says second babies come sooner.

My second baby was 3 days later than my first, who was 9 days late to begin with!

I am 40+2 today and can't wait to meet my little one.
My past 2 were well-done (no vernix and cracked skin on hands and feet) so Im hoping to encourage this one out a bit sooner.... Went for a 3-ish hour walk today so well see...

Its still so weird to think that I have a fully grown newborn inside......

oh, this reminds me. Does effacement usually happen before dilation? Or is there no rhyme or reason?

Yeah, my first was almost two weeks overdue. Even my doctor was saying that she "anticipated" an earlier due date and my mom was convinced I wouldn't even make it until August. At this rate it will be September . . .

My first wasn't at all dysmature (yours sound like they might have been a little) but he was pretty big . . . although nine pounds isn't really much compared to some of the babies we've been seeing . . . anyway, come on out babies!!!
