My best friend and mommy of an adorable 4-month-old just went back to work this week, full-time. The same week she went back to work, she found out she has a low supply
: So, it is obviously of the utmost importance that she be able to pump when she needs to and relax while pumping.
Well, some asshat barged into her pumping space (an office), even though she had made a sign and said "Do not come in here!" when she heard keys at the door.
because he "had stuff he had to do!" in there.
: She pulled her shirt on just in time. We live in CA, where it is the law that working mommies be provided with appropriate pumping areas. My friend wrote a calm, firm, and cogent letter to the appropriate leaders of the organization for which she works.
Anyway, the upshot is that all the heads of the organization were extremely apologetic and have totally bent over backwards to make sure this NEVER happens again and that there are plans and back-up plans to assure this 100%. I was so glad! Just thought I'd share.
