WWYD? My three year old has multiple food allergies. I have omitted everything she is allergic to from my diet because she's nursing. My milk has dropped dramitically over time and right now the only time she gets any is first thing in the morning. I don't want my milk to cause inflammation in her gut, but I'm tired of the restrictions. Do you think it's safe for me to eat a little of what she's allergic to? Does anyone have experience with this?

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

My three year old is down to once or twice a day. I am seriously tired of the restrictions, too.
HOWEVER, think of it this way. If you were to feed her "just a tiny bit" of whatever she is allergic to directly, would that be okay? (Answer: of course not). Therefore, the same holds for getting it through your milk. Sorry, mama.

No, if you're going to eat some of the allergic foods, then you might as well feed them directly to her as well. Any tiny bit of them can cause damage in her gut.
Do you need help with finding food substitutions? There are a lot of good recipes in the recipe sticky. What foods are you doing without?

And not only gut damage, but every exposure keeps her immune system on high alert (releasing histamine) and makes it less likely that she'll outgrow the allergy.
What foods are you craving? Maybe we can help brainstorm.
