Lanolizing wool

Hi! How do I lanolize wool longies? I've searched the archives, but couldn't find clear instructions. Thank you from a wool-virgin!

I put a pea-sized amount in my palm, rub it vigorously between my hands to warm it up and soften it, then pat it on the inside crotch and butt of the soaker/longies. I used to do the soak it in the sink method, but that was just too darn much work. Applying it directly is so much easier. I lanolize every 1 to 3 months depending on how much the cover gets used.

Thank you! Where can you buy the lanolin?

You could use regular lansinoh lanolin, but it's so expensive. I'm planning to buy mine from iherb.com http://www.iherb.com/Search.aspx?c=1&st=l&kw=lanolin

Compare: Iherb: 100% pure liquid lanolin 4 fl oz for $4.69 Or 7 oz of the solid kind, 100% pure for $5.36

Or. You could go to the drug store and get lansinoh (the exact same thing) 2 oz for $10. http://www.walgreens.com/store/produ...838&id=prod838

I've never ordered lanolin from iherb, but I have ordered other stuff; I find them to be very prompt with delivery.
