water kefir grains?

Does anyone have water kefir grains to share in western mass? I'd be happy to pick up within reasonable distance of Northampton and also pay you something for your troubles. Thanks!

Have you looked in the Traditional Foods forum? There is a SCOBY/grain sharing sticky You might be able to find someone there who is near you or is willing to ship them to you. Although, water grains are hard to come by and it might be best for you to search online for sharing groups, etc.

Have you tried Freecycle? That's where I found my Kombucha scoby!

Well, I would, except the mod banned me from posting for 60 days because I posted our leftover yard sale stuff with an address. Apparently we're not supposed to post addresses even with lots of yard sale leftovers. I had no idea. : So I have to wait another month or so... Sigh.

Thanks for the suggestion Jojo. I looked in the thread and there wasn't anyone that seemed to be in my area but I will post there and try my luck.
