Can you lose your mucus plug little bits at a time? *TMI alertt

I know this is major TMI but I have been paying close attention everytime I use the restroom and i keep noticing these tiny little mucusy looking pieces , could this be peices of the plug?

Yep, definitely! I just noticed small pieces of red-tinged mucus just now too. Guess things are moving along!

Ilost bits at a time over a three week period and then lost alot a few hours before i went into labor.

So does this mean I'm starting to dilate? Cause as of my last appointment on friday I was 80% effaced but not dilated.

A very good sign that you are dilating!

I didn't lose any of mine until I was almost fully dilated and then it was still just a little. I don't know if I just didn't have much of one to start with or what.

I noticed that I had way more clear discharge than usual today, and one time it looked a tiny bit stringy. Nothing pink tinged though. How funny is it that I am getting so excited over things I see in my tp. hahahha Come on out baby!!!

I lost my mucus plug 2 nights ago and I am still having major mucus slime comeing out. I need to wear pads.

That's how I lost mine during two of my pregnancies. It came out in pieces, first clearish then brownish with with streaks of blood.

Sorry, that was because I wasn't sure if I'd gotten it right, I just thought I remembered reading about that happening with people. Phrased it as a question so people would feel free to step in and say I was wrong if I was.

TMI - I examine every piece of TP I wipe with like it's from a crime scene right now. I got all excited cause i saw something in the toilet last night, but turns out it was a pre - existing loogey from my husband. YUCK!!
