So, this new apartment management job will allow me to be home with my kids, but I still might need a 'mother's helper.' I'm not sure how often I will need someone, but I'd like to do some interviews just in case. The job starts next week, so I'll have a better idea then.
I know for sure I'll need someone next week, during the training. Starting on either Wednesday or Thursday. This would be a good trial run to see if it would work out for the long term.
So, does anyone live near Tigard?
This would be perfect for a homeschooled teenager. I just need someone who could come to my house, and help with my 2 year old, while I worked. I might need help with my baby too when she gets older, but right now she just eats and sleeps while I wear her. I'd be right there, if they needed anything. The pay won't be anything amazing, but it's good job experience and a good reference. Also, I don't mind if they are doing school work, reading, watching a 2 year old appropriate movie, or whatever, as long as they aren't too distracted to take care of my daughter when she needs something.
We do practice gentle discipline, so it is important to me that person understands age appropriate behavior, and is aware that we do not spank or do timeouts. We do discipline, but we do not punish, and do not have arbitrary rules.
