We're going paraben, phthalate and SLS free!

I made the desicion for us all to go completely Paraben, phthalate, SLS, synthetic fragrance, silicone, petrochemical and mineral oil free!

I went through the bathroom, makeup case and OH toiletries getting rid of everything that contained any of these chemicals (didn't throw them away, gave them to my neighbour who doesn't care about using these things) - and was only able to keep 2 THINGS!!!!

Then went out to buy lots of delicious natural toiletries - amongst the stash of stuff I bought is the most lovely shave gel for OH, and the most gorgeous moisturizing creams I have ever come across - it feels like putting silk on my skin! I have only been using all the natural stuff for 5 days so far, but my skin looks the best it ever has (I am prone to break outs).

I am slowly making changes to live a less toxic life style and am so glad we have finally tackled this area!

me too! and I LOVE those kleen kanteen things too. It's so hard to find good products. A college girlfriend of mine just started this website that sells really effective and totally affordable natural makeup and skin care, The Simple Body. We have been doing baby steps as well, it has taken us about a year to get to this point - we have been holding off mainly because we knew this would be an expensive change to make, I was slowly going to replace toiletries with toxin free stuff as we used it up, but in the end went for the drastic change (thats me though - all or nothing!!) Ever since we started up our business 3 weeks ago I have really been wanting to make this last change, as I felt a little hypocritical promoting non-toxic living, when my bathroom was still full of toxic products!
