The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards. I cried like a baby for the last 30 pages of that book.

There's others, I am a huge fan of good books. I just can't recall which ones they are right now (it's kinda late...)!

"The Blessing of a Broken Heart" by Sherri Mandell. Tears of pain, yes, but with some pages tears of awe ... absolute transcendence.

Or were you specifically asking about fiction?

Ooh, me too. Love Joyce Carol Oates. She writes about some seriously mistreated women.

I've noiced The Poisonwood Bible mentioned a few times, sometimes with The Lovely Bones. I did not like TLB at all, thought it was good at first but got worse and worse as it went on. Will I still like TPB?

For what it's worth, I loved The Poisonwood Bible, but The Lovely Bones bored me out of my mind.

The Green Mile by Stephen King. Seems weird, maybe, but I bawled like never before!!! I love this book. Not the movie. The book...not scary.

The last Harry Potter book, because it was over.

The Notebook. Heck, I cry at the movie, still, every time. I can't help it.

I'll second A Thousand Splendid Suns. Oh man, I was pregnant when I read it and I.just.wept.

I cried at the months (October, November, December, January) in New Moon. I've totally BTDT and I remember that feeling of time just moving like that...

Of course Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas, oh and Dear John. Eeep! Hand me a tissue!

I did not cry when I read The Poisonwood Bible but I wasn't a mother yet when I read it.
