I need help with selective vacc in Kentucky to keep my infant in daycare...

I need to know what the required/verses recommended vaccines are for an infant going for 12 month shots are..

I cannot get an exemption because I work for a hospital and she attends a hospital daycare..We are all mandated to get shots/reboosts..If we don't we cannot stay.

I have only been getting the required ones for her..She only had 2 shots for each 2,4 and 6 mnth appt..

She hasn't gotten the Hepatitis series. And I believe I declined the ear infection shot also.

The ones I am most concerned about are the chicken pox and the MMR..The thought of her getting the MMR before she is 2 gives me heart palpitations. And the chicken pox I would rather her get natural immunity too..Is one year too young to locate a chicken pox party?Or should I wait till she is older?

How long Can I delay the MMR saftley without her getting booted from the hospital daycare..It is the best in town and I want to keep her there.

I hate this crap!!!!!!! I hate working and I hate leaving her in daycare...

I wish I could stay home so she could be safe from all this...I am so scared to see the light go out of her eyes like it did my son when he got the MMR.

You CAN get an exemption. They can not deny you a religious exemption.

sure they can, if it is a private day care. I suspect that, even as a hospital-run day care, it still has the option. Unless they are getting state/federal funding. (at least, that's my understanding)

Aren't MMR and pox later? Used to be 18 mos. for MMR and I thought then or at 24 mos. for pox, but we are so out of the loop I don't know. Lot has changed since I knew for sure. If you're near Lexington I know some great at home mommas who have daycares.... If you can wait I would use that time to find a different care place. You shouldn't have to vax her just to have care. Thats awful. If your other child reacted you might also get a good doc to give you a medical exemption on at least that shot.... don't know...

If the hospital and day care can not discriminate on religion, then they can't deny your exemption.

There are very very few hospitals who are so affiliated with a religious group that they wouldn't take federal money (ie medicare, medicaid, etc)
