Anyone finished their nursery? Baby wasnt really gonna have a nursery since he will be sharing the room with us, but now it turns out that we dont really have a room...lol... i just made "our room look like the baby nursery and it was soooooo much fun!

I didnt want anything typical, so i went with a bit of an "arabian nights" theme..lol... here are some pics...

Anyone else with any finished baby room pics??

Cuteness! I love the mattress on the floor, that is where the *real* sleeping always happens

I took a corner of our bedroom and made a wardrobe for diapering + clothes. A little bassinet to set down baby too, although I wasn't able to do this with DS I'm optimistic this time!!

All of your rooms look great!!! We just have a crib set up in the corner of our bedroom, and I replaced my nightstand with a baby dresser--it has all the diaper stuff/baby clothes in it. My DD is still in our room too, its our "family den". So now it has a queen bed, twin mattress, and crib.

Looking great gals!

We don't do a nursery. We have a family bed, etc... no cribs, etc.

I love the bright colors!! We did bright for DS, but went super girly with this one. I will take some pics and post later.

I sewed up around 24 bamboo prefolds (newborn size - I have small babies!), and then around 12 or so more fitteds. 10 covers, snappies, cloth wipes warmer - so excited! We do EC along with cloth, so I've found we don't need much more than some small prefolds for quite awhile.

We also do the family bed, but everyone is warning me that you need a "safe" place to set baby from the toddler...hence the bassinet Anyone with 2+ have thoughts on this?? We moved DS to a crib/bed for naps around 12 months, but he is still in bed with us (or at least we have musical beds)

it's also helpful if you have a LO like mine. he wouldn't sleep in the bed with us very well at all. he was much more comfortable on his own beside the bed in the bassinet. he still won't sleep with us (2 years 9 months later.) he likes his space like his mommy

:
us too. DS sleeps with us after a bad dream (lots of monsters these days) but overall, he seems to prefer his own space.

we had a nursery for #1 and not for #2 so now that we have a room I did one for this baby. We will add curtins, pictures and table lamp either in pink or brown depending on who we meet this Friday.

Baby will co-sleep with us but we used the crib for naps for #1 and I liked that. The chair in the room is where baby and I will sleep the first 2 weeks.

Well, we're getting closer to being done, but not quite there. We have a Pack n' Play with a bassinet and changing table set up at the end of our bed for the first few months anyway... So I'm not that concerned. It would be nice if all her stuff had a place though.

This is the mobile I half made, half bought:

This is the bedding:

This is the room after we painted it, we still need to install a chair rail between the two colors:

These are the baskets that will go in the changing table:

I'm jealous of all the great colors! We rent so we're planning on leaving the walls white in the "nursery" - we plan to have him sleep in the cosleeper in our room so the nursery will be more changing and dressing area than sleeping area. We did pick up some spiffy adhesive, easy-peel-off decorations from Target though - they were even on clearance.

moderngal-I LOVE that Gustav Klimt hanging over the crib. It's one of my favorite paintings. Where did you find it?

Lurking from the Jan DDC -- WOW! You ladies have some great eyes for design!! I wasn't planning on doing anything cute for this babe -- just the crib in our room for naps and starting the night with the dressing / changing table. I may need to figure out something more creative to have some fun passing these next months.
