moderngal-I LOVE that Gustav Klimt hanging over the crib. It's one of my favorite paintings. Where did you find it?
Thanks. I got it at Ikea.

It's not really a nursery so much as a living/bedroom-in-one but you can see it on my site.

Everyone's nurseries look so great!!

Baby's nursery - we actually didn't change much. Just painted new letters and organized and cleaned. My DD slept in the crib a total of 1 times : Oh well, live and learn. I figured this baby may (or may not) want to nap there occasionally depending on temperament and how loud my DD is.

Crib and rocking chair

Dresser, changing pad, chest

The big work that we did was make a big girl room for DD. She had been sleeping with us, and we wanted to offer her her own space. I had no idea whether she would want to sleep there or not, but we got the room done and asked her if she wanted to sleep there. The first night she said no, the second night she said yes, and she's only slept with us like twice since. Never would've guessed that! Since we're having another girl, we went ahead and did the room so that they could eventually share - since it is such a big room.

One side of room

DD's letters

Other side of room

Closet wall - we're hoping to add a big bookshelf in the space to the right of the two hanging pictures

Great pictures! I love the floor -- is it Marmoleum or the like? How is maintenance?

Thanks! Yup, it is Marmoleum Click. Super easy… I sweep every day because of the cats and mop or spot-clean with a rag when needed. Nothing to it.

Pretty much done. The Wee won't be using it, really, for awhile. Well, we'll use the changing table and I'll use the rocking chair, but the crib won't get used for awhile, I am guessing. I had a lot of fun doing this, I adore decorating kinds of stuff. I'm still working on a few things for the walls, but thought I would share these now anyway!

This is so much like we're doing DD's room! I wish ours was done!

We are getting two beds just like that style and also have those same alphabet cards, along with a growth chart which is the same artist/line. I'll have to get a second growth chart! I think I'm going to refer back to your pictures as I decorate.

Though we may get surprised with a boy (or a very different personality) so we're holding off on decorating too much. DD is a very girly girl and it could easily be a super girly room if it was just her!

I love all the ideas in this thread. The converted secretary is indeed genius, and the colors you all are using are really wonderful. I love non-traditional (as in not all pink or all blue) kid rooms!
