If anyone in NYC (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens on the G) is looking for a sitter, I can highly recommend ours. Leslie has worked for us for two years, and is now looking for work in the non-profit world. She'll continue to do babysitting in the evenings and on weekends, and occasional hours during the day.
I'm happy to give a more detailed reference, but the brief summary is this: Leslie started working for us in a nanny share when my son was 1 and our friends' son was 6 months. We have been nothing but impressed with her. She's naturally inclined towards an attachment style--for instance, she was interested in babywearing right from the start, and still wears our toddlers. She's gentle and consistent, and makes taking care of 2 very energetic toddlers look easy. She's also done sitting for (multiple) friends of ours, for very young babies through upper elementary. She's super engaged in what the kids are doing, and is patient beyond belief.
