Downtown Greenville Livin'?

Hi all.....
We are still in the process of narrowing places to live in Gville.
(probably not until next summer)
I really like the North Main area of downtown Greenville.
Have any of you heard anything about neighborhoods in downtown, or recommend any areas?
Or give general thoughts about being a crunchy mama in downtown Gville?

Downtown is a great area to live... The nerighbor hood off North Main is wonderful and if you are zoned for Stone Acadamy it is a great Primary school...There is a park down the road called Mcpherson park that has free putt-putt...We enjoy taking advantage of that when the weather is nice...There are a ton of great restaraunts downtown and it is a great place to walk around...In the spting, summer and early fall...there is live music downtown Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday night for free...It's really nice to have things like that to do...good luck on your house search!

Hi Kelemama,

We rent a house downtown across from the Bi-Lo Center and we love it. My husband walks downtown to work everyday. If money were no object we'd buy a house in the McDaniel Ave area which starts near the Publix and goes to Augusta Rd.... I just love the old houses and interesting cute streets connected around there. North Main area is awesome also of course. Good luck!
