Or 40...

I seriously hate having to act like Jake's "issues" are actual issues when really he is just a kid. He's energetic and inquisitive, which one would think would be good for a student..only they're not apparently.

I'm hoping good things for first grade...I wish we could homeschool...

This is a trend in my little corner of the world. The teachers even discuss at Kindy evaluations. My 3 boys all miss the August 31 cut off by a few months so they all started kindy at 5.5 years old. I had no intention of waiting another year. And actually it was partially based on the fact that they are all so big for their age I did not want them to tower over kids anymore then they do. People tend to assume that they are older because of their size. For example my 3rd grader is taller then all of the 5th graders (except for his brother that is in 5th grade) He wears an 18 slim and he is only 8. But he does not get that he is bigger and I always worry about him hurting other kids durning normal outside play.

My 2 youngest have May and July Birthday and they will of course make the August 31st cut off. So we shall see what we do next year. I assume that my DD will start school, as she is dying to go. With my DS who is now 3 we shall see, he is my little wild man and may need an extra year at home with mom.
