Today after I dropped the kids off at preschool, I took Colin into town for a walk. I used our sleepy wrap to carry him - man, I had forgotten how awesome it is to babywear. There's just something about that little body all snuggled up (where strangers hands can't get him); it just feels so great. I think I feel about babywearing how a lot of people feel about nursing (I like nursing, but I don't know if I'll ever LOVE it the way some lucky mamas do).
And now for the PSA. You would think I would know this; this being my third kid and all
. But mamas - if you're having problems with engorgement and leaking, for the love of God, don't wear a sports bra. I thought my comfy, stretchy sports bra was the answer to all of my problems but it made things so, so much worse. I couldn't figure out why I was still engorged after, like 4 days. So finally yesterday I just "aired out" in the afternoon and then went back to my nursing bra - I'm a new woman now. So, please learn from my mistake and save yourself from some considerable discomfort (to put it mildly).
