I'm new to the area and am trying to get a feel for the available midwives near Crawfordsville. Has anyone used Penny of Believe Midwifery Services? I UC'd my first and am looking for a very hands-off midwife. I should add that I haven't decided if I will UC my next or not, and I want to look into my options early on before I make a decision.
Some sample things I would really like in a midwife:
- someone who's comfortable staying in another room/another part of the house while I labor and birth, except of course if I want her there! LOL
- is fine with me catching my own baby
- can take a very laid-back role immediately postpartum (basically leave me alone, stay out of sight and, except for a quick visual assessment of the baby from across the room, don't "do" stuff like suctioning or putting hats on or taking vitals every 15 minutes post-birth)
