Strawberries

Ok so since this whole food allergy thing is new to me I have a silly question. Dd#2 is allergic to eggs, milk, peanuts and wheat. I have some beautiful strawberries. I have eaten strawberries before and nursed dd#2 and she's been fine. She turned one last week. Do you think it's ok to give them to her? She's had other berries - raspberries, blackberries, grapes, apples, bananas, etc and she's been fine.
Can you tell I'm paranoid?

Has she been tested for strawberry allergies?

If she's had a slew of allergy tests, and came clean for strawberries, I'd go ahead and give them to her. If she's never been tested, then you might not want to take the chance.

I think that strawberries are the most allergenic fruit... but I think that it's just recommended to wait until age 1, so you're probably ok. Check out the Joneja chart- I posted it in the Starting Solids sticky I think.

Oh- and I'd probably do the skin test before letting her eat them (rub some on her cheek, wait 20 min and watch for reaction... then rub some on the outside of her lip, wait and watch... then eat.)
