homeschool options in Cambridge

hi there - I'm new to the metro-Boston area (we moved to Cambridge in the last month) and I am considering homeschooling dd for her kindergarten year. We are here for one year (sabbatical) and I have a 2.5 year old ds as well. I did a quick search for yahoo groups and found none and just as I was about to check google groups when I thought - now's the time for me to 'find my tribe' on MDC! Any thoughts welcomed! thanks mamas. kathy

I know there are definitely a number of homeschoolers here. But I'd suggest checking out the Arlington home school groups, as those are the ones that I hear referenced most often.

Good luck!
megin, part of the "Cambridge moms of Kindergarteners tribe, too!"

We used to live in N. Cambridge and I went to a few meetings with a homeschool group in Arlington that seemed really great, and big too.

Hi,
I am interested in homeschooling in Cambridge too. My daughter is only 2.5, but it would be nice to get some info about homeschooling.

thank you for the input. I'm shifting gears to HSing! I can't believe it - I've talked myself into and out of HSing several times over the last 4 years and now. we'll see if we have the co-temperments for it! kathy
