I honestly don't think my township is to blame either; there is no way to let everyone know on such short notice.

The good news is these compounds break down QUICKLY in sunlight... so don't do anything like use sprinklers or whatever to wash it off the grass etc.
And about West Nile... am I the only person who just assumes I (and my kids) have already been infected/exposed? I mean.... 5 mosquito bites a day for 3 months adds up, kwim? There is no way I don't have antibodies already. I don't get why they always make such a big deal about "preventing" it... um, it swept the nation years ago people.

For all that spraying, I was at least happy my kids wouldn't get bitten anymore, and we were playing outside at about 4pm yesterday and they both had a bunch of bites within 20 min!!!
