Well, I bought something I hadn't intended on buying today, but I think I'll give myself a break about it. I bought a pg test - and then a little onesie. I think I'm going to have to revamp my entire budget.

Oh! Congrats!!! :

I'm not doing well today. So far I spent $11.63 at the grocery store for a last minute family get together I got sucked into tonight . I spent $4.40 at Dunkin Donuts because while at the grocery store I forgot a snack for the kids (because our entire morning was screwed up and we haven't been home) and an iced coffee for me (stressed) :.

Now I'm going to buy school books, and unless something changes in the next hour I'm looking at $650 there

My key :
- unexpected but unavoidable spending
: - lack of proper planning spending
- spending that has to do with my sister or college or both

1. Please introduce yourself and tell us why you have decided to spend nothing (or spend significantly less) for the Month of September.

Getting a "Do Not Honor" message when trying to make a very small purchase today, I decided I REALLY need to start budgeting and being mindful.

2. No spending is hard work. You need a plan. Please tell us your game plan -- how do you plan to approach no spending for a month?

Stick to my budget, entirely! If it's not in the budget, it doesn't get spent.

3. Be specific! What are your goals? How many no spend days is right for you? Do you have a savings goal? Debt repayment goal?

Hmm...let's shoot for 21/30 days.

Gas, groceries, and pet supplies do not count as spending. I make tips at my job occasionally, so any cash tips I get don't count as spending if I want to get Starbucks or another treat, although if I get more than $20 cash at anytime, it's going into the bank.
