Do you shave? - Page 2

I recently stopped shaving everything and I LOVE the feel of my soft hair. I don't feel like a jungle animal at all. I feel like a sexy natural woman. of course, I'm still working on feeling good about my leg hair but I'm sure that will come in time.

Don't tell me know one has discovered the wonderful feeling of shaving . . . . ummm . . . . well . . . . around your girl parts?
Um, yep, since I was 17 or so... We refer to it as a trimmed 'home plate', with nothing else.... if you shave from back to front (with the hair growth) you don't get ingrown hairs or itchy stubble. DH doesn't really care though , but old boyfriends a long time ago really liked it!! :LOL

Is that what a brazilian is??
I am not sure, but I think a Brazilian takes it a step further, so that you are left with a very thin "racing stripe" all the way up.

I don't shave often, but that's just 'cause I'm lazy. I do shave my pits more often. If I don't I do notice that it's a bit more smelly. I do have an epillator (sp), but don't use it. I'm a pain wimp! I'd like to be bare down there, but am not sure quite how to do it.

Yes, I shave legs and pits. I've even shaved my arms once. (Although I don't recommend this...) I really like the feeling of hairless skin. I haven't done it yet, but I plan to lazer my nether regions. I get ingrowns (and not just one or two - basically, I get them all over) if I shave or wax in that area. So it's lazer or nothing down there, and I can't deal with the idea of being hairy there forever.

hey flitters;

yeah course it comes with a cord and adapter! I had a battery one when I was 14, it sucked so badly!

By the way theres a purple one on the shavershop.com site if you prefer purple to blue : )

I pretty much quit shaving for the winter too. Legs I shaved a week ago so I could wear shorts while we went to Phoenix. But that's probably it till we get warm weather around here again, next spring. I might even do like someone else suggested -- treat myself to a wax once or twice for the summer!

Pits -- I quit shaving a month or so ago, but DH doesn't really like it. He won't tell me to shave, but I just know he prefers it shaven. I'm trying to wean myself off of anti-perspirants, but I just CAN'T stand that wet feeling I get when using deodorants. I didn't get that feeling at all with hair, and it was really nice! But, it was a little more stinky than I like. So, I tried shaving, and then using a crystal, hoping that would be a good combination. Still got the wet feeling... So, now it's growing out again, and I'm still using the crystal. I think I may settle on trimming it, but not shaving.

Oh, and bikini area... as much as I'd love to shave it, I've tried before and can't stand the plethora of ingrown hairs that occur...

I really do hate to shave. Cold weather or hot weather. My arm pits are no problem but shaving my legs is such a chore, I hate it. Especially when I know I will have to do it again teh following week as it growns very fast. Would love to get it permantly removed.

I wax my legs myself. I have to have friends and family bring decent wax from England and Israel when they visit because I have yet to find any in the USA. Shaving my pits comes and goes in phases. In my 20's I let it grow and trimmed it now and then, ( I even tried putting on lemon juice to try and bleach the hairs in the sun!). I wax and pluck the bikini area.

Ok here is my weirdness....I hate hair!!!, except for on top of the head and eyebrows....so I shave:

legs
arms
"yoni"
back of neck for a nice hair line
pluck eyebrows

I even make my dh shave sometimes (legs, chest, boy parts). He actually liked it and wanted to do his arms too! Lets just say after that we took a long roll in the hay. I think hairless smooth bodies are VERY attractive.

Kind of funny....I am adopted and I found my birth parents a few years ago....come to find out my DAD hates hair too and also shaves his whole body! Weird huh?!!? I guess it is in my genes!!

I shave my pits every other day or so in the shower. Since I have light, slow growing hair, I don't even have stubble until then, and if I shave more than that, I get road rash in my pits. HURTS SO BAD. I have also started putting moisturizer on my pits at night, which is really helping with my sensitive skin after shaving.

I do find i have more odor if I don't shave my pits at least every other day.

I haven't shaved my legs in a while, since its been too cold for shorts anyway, but I need to. It helps exfoliate and keep my legs smooth and I feel so feminine when I do it. If Dh cares either way, he has never said.

Downstairs--I have shaved there a few times, but the ingrowns kill, so I mainly trim with scissors to keep things "neat." I'm considering having a wax done.

I agree with the person who said a complete shave down there looks pre-adolescent, and gives me the shudders thinking about it.

I shave my pits every other day- no matter what season.

I shave my legs 3x a week in the summer and about 1x (or less) a week in the winter.

I wax my biniki line about once every 3 weeks in the summer and once every 5 weeks or so in the winter. (I also do the "landing strip")

Ok ladies i have to jump in here. I shave armpits every other day and legs *SIGH**** when i get around to it. If we take a bath together dh will shave them for me
For the lower region i have found if i use Dh beard and stash trimmer to cut it short i dont get ingrown hairs or itchy. hope this helps
post #34 of 35
It just depends..I've gone months and months without shaving under my arms or legs..then go on a shaving kick and shave weekly. As for down yonder..I've shaved a few times but the ingrown hairs are a killer so I just keep it trimmed.

Not nothing, not nowhere.

Don't cut my hair, either.
Oh, and neither does DH ... neither shaving nor cutting.

We're ... ahem ... hairy.

And we like it that way.
