i need some exercise! (Houston)

Does anyone know of a place I can do some pregnancy (or regular) yoga or indoor swimming, preferably with/near my 4 year old. I am 20 weeks pregnant. I don't have a lot to spend, and don't want a gym membership just for yoga or swimming. I live northwest between 249 and 290 @ Bingle.

Um... this might be a gym membership - if so, sorry for being of little help.

The Clay Road YMCA has an indoor pool, maybe 2. Also, they have a great play area for the kiddos. I don't know about pg yoga there.

They charge less based on income.

YMCAs only require a monthly signup -- you don't have to get into longterm contract. Plus, most (maybe all) have a tot spot where your child can play while you exercise.

This isn't yoga or swimming, but Nia Moves has a mom and tot class. I have only experienced it at the BIRTH Fair, but it was lots of fun.

I don't think its offered consistently, so I recommend calling first. They focus alot on meditation as well and its really great for getting 'in tune' during your pregnancy. Many postures are inadvisable after the first trimester, so regardless of where you go, be certain the instructor is certified for Pregnancy Yoga, or is otherwise competent. Oh, and they're pretty reasonable at $12/class. Good luck!
