Pentacel a no-no?

So, I have Dr. Sears book, and we need to start vaccinating my two-month old because we will travel yearly to South America and to India. I like his selective schedule, but I need to add the Polio vaccine to it. So I came across Pentacel. Would that be a bad idea? I was thinking of:

2 mo: Pentacel (DTaP, HIB, Polio)
3 mo: Pc, Rotavirus
4 mo: Pentacel (DTaP, HIB, Polio)
5 mo: Pc, Rotavirus
6 mo: Pentacel (DTaP, HIB, Polio)
7 mo: Pc, Rotavirus
15 mo: HIB, Pc
5y: Tetanus Booster
12 y: Hep B series

My other option would be:

2 mo: DTaP, Rotavirus
3 mo: Pc, HIB, Polio
4 mo: DTaP, Rotavirus
5 mo: Pc, HIB, Polio
6 mo: DTaP, Rotavirus
7 mo: Pc, HIB, Polio
15 mo: HIB, Pc
5y: Tetanus Booster
12 y: Hep B series

I'm not sure which way to go.

I am also considering Pentacel. Dr Sears says it fine on his blog:

Despite how tempting it is for us to go with this (since we only do DTaP, MMR, Polio and Hib) we don't. Why?

1) I like doing once vaccine per visit if we can since I will know what she is reacting to if that happens...it's also nicer for her not to get jabbed in both legs (though that isn't an issue here, just another reason we only do one per visit if we can)

2) It has 1500 mcg aluminum, which is higher than the sum of its vaccines if you do them in pieces

wait, this was just brought to my attention:

Quote:
Pages 11, 41, 55, 154, 198 and 199 - The combo vaccine Pentacel only has 330 mcg of aluminum, instead of the 1500 mcg that was initially indicated on the first and second printings of the book.
Apparently my copy of Dr Sear's book does not contain this update.

However, #1 still stands for us so we won't be doing combo

I have not had a chance to check it out for myself but I heard that there might be some efficacy issues with it.

Thanks for your replies. In the end, I didn't go with Pentacel, but solely because I can't get it in my home country and we'll be spending a few months there. I ended up going with this schedule:

2 mo (Aug 24th): DTaP (Daptacel, 330 Al) HIB (ACTHIB)
3 mo (Sep 24th): Pc (Prevnar), Polio (Ipol)
4 mo (Oct 24th): Quadruple [DTaP, HIB] (Actacel, 1.5 mg Al ph)
5 mo (Nov 24th): Pc (Prevenar), Polio (Imovax Polio)
6 mo (Dec 24th): DTaP (Daptacel, 330 Al), HIB (ACTHIB)
7 mo (Jan 24th): Pc (Prevnar)
8 mo: (Feb 24th): Polio (Ipol)
15 mo: HIB (ACTHIB)
18 mo: Polio (Ipol)
5y: Tetanus Booster, Polio (Ipol)
12 y: Hep B series

And FWIW, my LO got two shots yesterday, and they were both on the same leg.
