Desi Michael entered the world at 1:17pm Tuesday Aug 26.
My water broke at 12:30 am, and active labor started around 3:30am. It was a very intense labor, and at one point the mw's were concerned we might have to transfer to the hospital because Desi's heartrate was too high. Rehydration on my part brought it back down and we happily avoided transfer.
I had to vocalize the entire time to stay on top of the contractions. If I stopped "singing" kinda ooohing...
I was a wreck.
My dh was amazing and looks almost as beat up as me, as he let me hang off of him, climb onto him and held me up in the weirdest positions.
I pushed for 17 min and did not tear or even get a skid mark!

Looking back my labor was very hard work, there were painful parts, and some very pleasurable parts. And I have a beautiful 6 pound 12 oz little boy, who is nursing like a pro, and who's big brother is very excited to kiss and cuddle and share my breasts with.
