Hook it up ladies, groups, stuff to do, (cheap stuff,) and homeschoolingish stuff. Where do I find kids for my kids to play with in the area?

We leave Florida on the 2nd of September (if the DVD in my car is fixed - I'll wait.

There are a few groups that correspond through Yahoo. I think you can just search Colorado Homeschool on yahoo groups and find them. We're north of Lakewood and we have a weekly park day and then some other events with our group.

We really like to go to NCAR. It's in Boulder and it's free. I think it would definitely be worth the drive for you. They have lots of interactive displays. If you can get a group together, they'll do a demonstration in their classroom. We've done that. Lots of fun! Here's a link:

We are moving to Lakewood, too (although not from near as far away, just across Denver a bit : ) Welcome to CO! We home school, are part of one group and looking into another - what ages are your kiddos? What part of Lakewood? I am not on-line very much right now (we are remodeling the house we are moving into and building a shop for my biz first, which is sucking up all my internet time but feel free to pop me a line when you get out here

uh, LOL, I did jump the gun. But not too much, we ended up in Arvada.

My ds is starting at the Jeffco Open school monday (kindy) but we always thought we would homeschool. Its not completley off the table but the school is a good fit for us for now. I also have a 2.5 yr old girl and an 8 mo old girl.
