I just read The Lolita Effect, by M. Gigi Durham, PhD and thought I'd come to post about it.
As a mother of two girls, I've been shocked and appalled at some of the ways that The Outside World is trying to influence my girls and turn them into little mini-strippers, so when I saw this book that was about the sexualization of girls by the media, I thought, "Hey! that's the book for me today......"
Ok, baby crying, got to go, but anyone who cares about girls (and boys are affected by this too) it's a good read.
